Rolling out: Panelists and Moderator for HR Forum (23/03/2011)

We are extremely excited to announce our list of panelists and moderator for this forum happening next week! We are thrilled to have:

1. Irwan Abdul Karim from The AL Group as our forum moderator

Irwan is a soft-skill trainer with a very strong hospitality background. His years in various hotels have given him a variety of knowledge and experience which he brings into the delivery of his key messages with easy understanding and practical application.

He believes in ensuring the learning is transferred in a clear, concise and fun way. He delivers the essence of each topic, the core messages and Key learning for retention and application at work. He is passionate about helping people reach their highest potential and discovering their best self.

He connects well with his participants and builds a good relationship with them. His down to earth approach, helps him to easily get the buy-in from the participants and establish rapport.

His background in customer services, hospitality and human resources enables him to draw from a variety of professional work experiences.

2. Ramley Razalli from Malaysia Institute of HR Management as our 1st panelist
Education & Professional Training: ACS Tlk Intan, University of Malaya, London Business School, IR Australia, HR Policies Italy

He started his career with Ministry of Labour followed by several senior positions in large multinationals and public listed companies. Principle Consultant with Hay Management (a worldwide US management consultancy). External Verifier, National Examining Board for Supervision & Management, UK.

He presented papers at numerous conferences such as OIC Human Capital Conference, UUM Conference and others. His current interest: Contemporary HR on linking HR Performance to value creation, business performance and organizational growth.


3. Joyce Tagal from Otak-Otak as our 2nd panelist

Joyce Tagal is a Coordinator for the Otak-Otak Internship Program, the Internship Program for Leaders. The program is designed to form strong relationships between top Malaysian students and Malaysian organizations, via a structured internship with a leadership development component. Joyce is a graduate of Yale University in the USA, and is currently an analyst with PEMANDU in the Education NKRA.

4. Douglas Dean from Human Capital Group Asia as our 3rd panelist

Douglas Dean is a business development, strategy expert and a world-class brand builder. He has over 20 years experience in industry and consulting including Chief Marketing Officer for Volkswagen commercial vehicles, Vice President of the prestigious Lausanne Hotel School and Advisor to Nestle- Nespresso CEO.

As a senior executive, he has participated in and led major strategic initiatives including the development and implementation of a brand structure within General Motors International Operations, a new sales and service strategy for the dealership network for Opel/Vauxhall across Europe, repositioning products and services for VW commercial vehicle division as well as a major strategic overhaul of the Hotel School Lausanne to become a first rate learning and market oriented institution.

As a senior consultant, he led Nestle-Nespresso on its major strategic initiative to expand into own retail network. This distribution channel now accounts for over 30% of sales and is experiencing double digit growth.

Since coming to Asia 5 years ago, he has advised a number of start-ups, PLCs and Government Linked Companies on strategic initiatives aimed at increasing sales and profits.

Douglas is currently the CEO of Human Capital Group Asia Limited. In this capacity, he is advising clients on strategic initiatives and is assisting them to undergo cultural alignments and implement change management in order to improve competitiveness.

Specifically, within Complex Adaptive Systems, he has launched the concept with Bank Negara and is further bringing the knowledge and understanding to key sectors of the economy.
