YourPartTime.com is very excited to announce the launching of Project Revitalise on March 2 2009. Initiated by MCA ICT Resource Centre (MIRC), xTrain and YourPartTime.com, this project was originally launched to tackle the economic downturn faced by many companies like Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Multi National Companies (MNC).
Project Revitalise aims to match the retrenched or under utilised Malaysian work force with employers who are looking to hire these individuals to work part-time. Among the objectives are to promote and educate companies and businesses to consider hiring workers on a part-time basis rather than freeze hiring, downsizing or retrenching. It also
helps provide job opportunities to job seekers to work part-time either to supplement their income or to sustain through working part-time while looking for a more permanent placement.
Targeting any business or companies and workers that have been retrenched or still without jobs, the major benefits that can be obtained includes increasing productivity, lower cost, a faster ability to recover from an economic downturn, diverse talent, skills and experience, widening the talent pool and even improve capacity building for immediate and future gains.
Job seekers especially those who have been retrenched are strongly encouraged to sign-up and complete their profiles and resume online HERE. Businesses that need part-timers can use the services of YourPartTime.com HERE. YourPartTime.com will offer its services for free for first time employers. And for repeat employers, a 20% discount will be provided to ease their cost and burden. As for job seekers, this service is completely free of charge.
With the implementation of this project, all three project initiators hope the job market will be revitalise and hence those affected by the current economic crisis are able to make ends meet through this avenue. Currently, the online system is ready and efforts are now made to mobilize all State MCA and Service Centres to prepare for an influx of enquiries and participant registrations.
Through this collaboration, MIRC plays its role to drive further the use of ICT to create business value and transformation growth for businesses especially SMEs that have been affected by the current economic conditions. On the other hand, xTrain fills the gap by providing their expertise in areas of soft skills and technical trainings which may be required in re-skilling some of the job seekers.
